Former MTV VJ Bill Bellamy Bellamy, who has guest co-hosted shows such as CBS Television Distribution’s Rachael Ray and Entertainment Tonight, replaces Kevin Pereira.

The syndicated trivia game show Let’s Ask America kicks off its third season on Sept. 8 with new host, comedian and one-time MTV VJ Bill Bellamy.

Bellamy, who has guest co-hosted shows such as CBS Television Distribution’s Rachael Ray and Entertainment Tonight, replaces Kevin Pereira.

On the half-hour, prime access show, Bellamy will interact with contestants who play the game from home via internet web video.

“I look forward to working with the great executives at Telepictures and Scripps and taking the show to the next level,” said Bellamy in a statement. “Our contestants are a virtual goldmine for nonstop laughs. I can’t wait to interact with them. Our audiences can look forward to great entertainment from Let’s Ask America every day.”

Let’s Ask America is from station group E.W. Scripps and production partners Warner Bros.’ Telepictures and the late Jim Paratore’s paraMedia. The show is distributed by MGM Domestic Television Distribution.

In January, the show will add a cable run on GSN.
