LIN Promotes Joshua Pila to Senior Counsel

LIN TV Corp. today named Joshua Pila senior counsel. Since joining the company as regulatory counsel in 2010, Pila has been the lead attorney for many initiatives in addition to overseeing regulatory, transactional, litigation and employment matters.

Pila’s new role includes handling both traditional broadcast as well as new media issues, including intellectual property, privacy and First Amendment legal matters.

Prior to LIN Media, Pila gained experience at a large Washington communications law firm. He is currently a co-chair of the Federal Communications Bar Association New England Chapter and chair of the American Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division Individual Rights and Responsibilities Committee.

Pila is licensed in New York and Washington, D.C., and is a registered in-house counsel with the Rhode Island bar. He earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and his B.S. and B.A. from the University of Florida.
