Lisa Porter Joins The Lippin Group As VP

Journalist and communications consultant Lisa Porter, who covered politics in Washington, D.C., for more than a decade as deputy political director at ABC News and as an executive producer at WashingtonPost.com, has joined The Lippin Group, a communications public relations and marketing firm.

Based in the company’s Los Angeles offices, Porter will be involved with The Lippin Group’s corporate entertainment and emerging media clients, both domestically and worldwide.

Most recently, Porter was a Los Angeles-based consultant with entertainment clients, including Paramount Pictures. Additionally, she represented nonprofit organizations, including Lamp Community, which focuses on ending homelessness on L.A.’s Skid Row.

Following her tenure as a political journalist from 1995 to 2005, Porter oversaw media relations and publicity for the Miller Center of Public Affairs at the University of Virginia.

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism from Northwestern University.
