Meteorologist Carlos Robles Joins KTMD Houston

Telemundo’s KTMD Houston (DMA 10) today named Carlos Robles meteorologist for its weekday newscasts, Noticiero Telemundo Houston at 4:30, 5 and 10 p.m.

Robles, who will make his on-air debut today, will join Telemundo Houston’s newly rebranded weather team, La Autoridad en el Tiempo (Weather Authority), as well as news anchors Martin Berlanga and Paulina Sodi.

In addition to providing weather forecasts on Telemundo Houston’s local newscasts, the La Autoridad en el Tiempo (Weather Authority) also provides viewers with weather forecasts on the go,with the recently launched and newly redesigned digital platforms that include an enhanced weather experience and up-to-the-minute severe weather push alerts on the station’s mobile and app platforms.

Prior to joining KTMD, Robles was a meteorologist at KXLN Houston for nine years. Before that, Robles was a weather anchor for WLII Caguas, P.R., from 2003 to 2007. Robles earned his bachelor’s degree in mass communications and media studies from the University of Puerto Rico. He also earned a degree in meteorology, geological and earth sciences and geosciences from Mississippi State University.
