Mission Broadcasting Adds Carwile As PD

Mission Broadcasting Inc. on Thursday appointed Lance Carwile corporate program director for its television station group.

He will open an office in his hometown of Columbus, Ohio, and will start on Monday, Aug. 28, reporting to Dennis P. Thatcher, Mission’s president.

Carwile’s television background covers more than 30 years of experience, including 20 years as a station program director. In addition, he was a group program coordinator and regional program director for LIN Media and most recently Media General and Nexstar Broadcasting.

Commenting on the appointment, Thatcher said: “Lance brings a wealth of industry background to this position. He has a proven, long-term record of success, matched by a meticulous approach to every detail.”

Carwile earned his bachelor’s degree in film/television from The Ohio State University.
