More Programming Moves At Endemol Shine

Christmas Rini is Endemol Shine North America’s new unscripted development EVP, Michael Weinberg will lead a new syndication unit and Sean Loughlin is promoted to SVP, unscripted development.

 

Endemol Shine North America has named veteran unscripted development executive Christmas Rini executive vice president, development, unscripted original series and made several additional appointments to its programming team.

Sharon Levy, president, unscripted and scripted television, also named Emmy Award-winning producer Michael Weinberg to the newly created position of EVP of syndication, while Sean Loughlin has been promoted to SVP, unscripted development.

Rini, who will now lead all unscripted development efforts under Levy, joins Endemol Shine from A. Smith & Co., where she previously was EVP of development.

Weinberg, who was formerly SVP, development at Endemol Shine North America, helped develop the studio’s Steve Harvey daytime talk show, has overseen the recent launch of Page Six TV in national syndication and is currently developing additional opportunities in the first-run syndication marketplace for Endemol Shine. Weinberg will report to Levy.

And Loughlin, who has been with Endemol Shine since 2005, is developing original unscripted series/formats for the company and now reports to Rini.

Earlier this month, Levy announced her first appointments since arriving at Endemol Shine North America last year, naming DJ Nurre, EVP, unscripted original series; Dan Cazzola, VP, international development, unscripted; and Lisa Fahrenholt, VP, international development, scripted.
