At NAB 2016 (April 16-21 at the Las Vegas Convention Center), Digital Nirvana, developers of a media management platform for content capture, recording, monitoring, repurposing and delivery, will feature several new technology offerings.

The company will showcase its cloud-based Software as a Service (SaaS) model of compliance recording for online programming. Included within the newest version of Digital Nirvana’s AnyStreamIQ — a cloud-based solution for recording, logging and monitoring OTT content — will be transport stream recording and compliance monitoring for online channels as a cloud-based service. With AnyStreamIQ, users can operate Digital Nirvana’s Monitor IQ Media Management Platform from anywhere.

Using AnyStreamIQ Version 5.0, TV stations offering online streaming won’t have to invest in dedicated equipment to monitor their online channels. TV stations and networks moving to or actively offering IP-based distribution can record and monitor that programming in the cloud. Scalable, modular and accessible, AnyStreamIQ’s OTT media monitoring technology offers a simple browser-based interface that allows users to access, record, monitor, log, report and search streams in FLV, HDS, and HLS streaming formats. AnyStreamIQ helps ensure compliance with FCC-mandated web captioning.

At NAB this year, Digital Nirvana will also introduce its new closed captioning services for broadcast and online videos. This service includes post-production roll-up and pop-on captioning services for all technology platforms, as well as caption synchronization conversion to an IP format from broadcast or vice versa. Digital Nirvana’s closed captioning services can handle multiple SD and HD video formats and a wide range of caption file formats. It utilizes in-house encoding to provide tailor-made solutions for each customer, including ready-to-air captioned videos. The company’s enterprise-level workflow has checkpoints to ensure content and caption quality along with industry compliance.

Also new for the show is Digital Nirvana’s standalone transport stream digital recorder, CARTS (Capture, Analyze, Replay Transport Stream). This new platform records and monitors the transport stream and provides alerts on non-compliance as well as the capability to cut, clip, and export sections of the transport stream for more detailed analysis. CARTS will also offer time-shifted playout for multiple time zone broadcasts as well as a disaster recovery solution for keeping a broadcaster’s signal on-air with recorded content.
