NBCU Names Tina Silvestri SVP Business Services

NBCUniversal on Friday today announced that Tina Silvestri has been named senior vice president, business services, operations and technical services. A 16-year NBCUniversal veteran, Silvestri joins the department from the NBC Owned Television Stations division. She is based in New York and reports to John Wallace, president of NBCUniversal Operations & Technical Services.

In her new role Silvestri will lead the company’s combined business service functions, including EHS, Crisis Management & Business Continuity, Transportation, Energy Programs, Retail Operations and Food Services. She will also provide global oversight for the company’s facilities.

Most recently Silvestri was SVP of o perations for the NBC Owned Television Stations.  In that role, she was responsible for operational processes across NBC’s 10 owned television stations, focusing on local sales and news operations and managing the division’s technology group. She also worked on the development, tracking and analyzing of key business metrics for the local marketplace.

Silvestri previously was the SVP of sales operations.. She has also been VPi of research and prior to that director of news digitization projects. She began her NBCUniversal career as a research manager for the sales and marketing division of NBC Owned Stations. 

Before joining NBCUniversal she worked for six years at Harrington, Righter & Parsons, a sales representative firm, first as a research analyst and then as a research director.

Silvestri graduated from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Stony Brook with a BA in sociology.
