Nexstar Names Sales Dir. In Memphis-Jackson

Nexstar Broadcasting Group announced today that veteran television sales executive Mark Arminio has been appointed director of sales of WPTY (ABC)-WLMT (CW) Memphis, Tenn. (DMA 49), and WJKT (FOX) Jackson, Tenn. (DMA 176), and each station’s associated digital services.

Arminio will report to Ardyth Diercks, VP-GM of the stations.

Arminio brings more than 27 years of broadcasting and sales management experience to his new role. He most recently was VP-director of sales for WWJ and WKBD Detroit.

From 2007 to 2010, Arminio was general sales manager of Raycom Media’s KOLD Tucson, Ariz. Prior to his role at Raycom, he spent 10 years at Young Broadcasting Inc. where he was the general sales manager of WKRN Nashville; president-GM of WLNS Lansing, Mich.;  and corporate director of sales.

Arminio is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame where he received his bachelor’s degree in business administration.
