Rich Sirop Named EP Of ‘Meredith Vieira’

The veteran daytime producer and showrunner comes on board NBCU Domestic TV Distribution's fall talker as its clearances pass 90% of U.S. homes.

NBCUniversal Domestic TV Distribution announced today that Rich Sirop has been named executive producer of The Meredith Vieira Show that debuts in national broadcast syndication this fall.

The Meredith Vieira Show has already been sold in more than 90% of the U.S. New stations recently added include WCVB Boston, KPRC Houston, WXYZ Detroit, KIRO Seattle, WTHR Indianapolis, WSMV Nashville, WKRC Cincinnati, WBRC Birmingham, Als., WJXT Jacksonville, Fla., and WNEP Scranton, Pa.

These stations join all 10 NBC Owned Television Stations as well as other previously announced station groups.

“Having worked together in daytime TV for over a decade, Meredith and Rich have tremendous chemistry and a wonderful, creative working relationship which will be essential for the success of the show,” said Valerie Schaer, EVP, creative affairs, NBCUniversal Domestic TV Distribution.

Emmy-winner Rich Sirop previously  was the executive producer and showrunner of the syndicated game show Who Wants To Be A Millionaire from 2010 to 2013. Prior to Millionaire, Sirop was the supervising producer on CBS’s Million Dollar Password, GSN’s Chain Reaction and a producer on VH1’s World Series of Pop Culture among several other production credits.

He is a graduate of Westfield (Mass.) State University.
