Robin Whitmeyer Named ND at KDFW

Robin Whitmeyer has been named VP-news director of Fox O&O KDFW Dallas (DMA 5). Effective Monday, Jan. 9, 2012, Whitmeyer will oversee all editorial, business and administrative functions of the news department, reporting directly to Kathy Saunders, the station’s general manager.

Most recently, Whitmeyer was news director of WSOC Charlotte, N.C., for over eight years. She joined WSOC in 1983 and held a variety of positions including senior executive producer, newscast producer and assistant news director.

A graduate of the University of North Carolina — Chapel Hill, Whitmeyer holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in broadcast/communication.
