Sinclair Names Glen Callanan GM Of KGAN
Sinclair Broadcast Group today named Glen Callanan general manager of CBS affiliate KGAN Cedar Rapids, Iowa (DMA 90), and will also oversee sales and other non-programming services of the market’s Fox affiliate, KFXA, pursuant to an outsourcing agreement.
Callanan has more than 30 years of sales and management experience. For the last five years, he has been the director of interactive sales/retail sales at WGN Chicago and prior to that and from 2003 he was the general sales manager of KPLR St. Louis.
From 1999 to 2003, he was the national sales manager at WGN Chicago. Prior to that, he held various other positions including national sales manager for WOFL Orlando, Fla.; manager and account executive at TeleRep; and account executive at various other stations in St. Louis.
Callanan graduated with a bachelor’s in journalism in broadcasting and Bachelor of Science in political science from the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri.
