Strong Summer Tryout For ‘The Real’

Telepictures’ The Real wrapped up its four-week summer test on Friday, Aug. 9 with solid ratings that suggest it will be back in 2014. The panel talk show averaged a 1.1 household rating/4 share, up 57% from its year-ago time slots average and up 22% from its lead-in, based on Nielsen metered market ratings.

Last week, it averaged a 1.2/4, up 71% from a year ago and up 33% from its lead-in. Among women 18-49 and women 25-54, over its four-week test, it had a 0.9/6 and a 1.0/7, up 200% and 150% from a year ago, respectively.

In New York on Fox O&O WNYW, it averaged a 1.4/4 in households, up 100% from its year-ago time slot average and up 40% from its lead-in.

The Real is a View-style panel talk show with co-hosts Adrienne Bailon, Tamar Braxton, Jeannie Mai, Tamera Mowry-Housley and Loni Love.

The show is distributed by Warner Bros. and had its test run on seven Fox O&O: KTTV Los Angeles, WTXF Philadelphia, WTTG Washington, KRIV Houston, KSAZ Phoenix and WTVT Tampa, Fla., in addition to WNYW.
