Targetspot Launches Weather Triggered Ad Capabilities

Targetspot has added another targeting capability.

Targetspot, which bills itself as the world’s largest digital audio advertising platform with global presence, offers a broad and cross-device platform (desktop, mobile and connected devices) that connects top national, regional, and local advertisers to a worldwide audience of more than 160 million people. 

With the addition of weather triggered ad capabilities, campaigns can be contextualized by the listener’s real-time weather surroundings allowing for relevant creative messaging based on weather conditions.

Targetspot uses Google’s weather API to pull in key weather factors such as snow, rain, sun, temperature and more. Weather conditions affect the listener’s decisions and influence key factors such as purchase method, mood and product choice among others.

Weather triggered ad campaigns help drive resonance and consideration for brands with key consumers and can be used as a key tactic for clients including retailers, home improvement, clothing, tourism, seasonal products and others.
