Tegna’s Mayman Named Media Institute Trustee

Todd A. Mayman of Tegna Inc. has been elected to the board of trustees of The Media Institute.

Mayman is EVP and chief legal and administrative officer for Tegna. He also serves as a director of the Tegna Foundation.

Prior to joining Tegna in 1993, Mayman was an associate at the law firm of Arent Fox and served as a law clerk at the District of Columbia Court of Appeals. He received a B.A. with honors from Swarthmore College and a J.D. magna cum laude from Boston University School of Law.

“We are pleased to welcome Todd Mayman to our board of trustees, and we are confident that his years of experience in the media industry will be of great benefit to the Institute,” said Patrick Maines, president of The Media Institute.

The Media Institute’s board of trustees is composed of representatives from various sectors of the media industry, as well as communications attorneys. The board is chaired by former FCC Chairman Richard E. Wiley, senior partner of Wiley Rein in Washington.
