Telemundo Names Luis Rosero Govt. Affairs VP

NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises announced today the appointment of Luis Rosero to VP of government affairs. In this new role, the company said, he will work to “identify and pursue opportunities that advance the policy objectives of NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises in the United States and all of NBCUniversal’s businesses in the Latin American region.”

Rosero joins NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises from Toyota Motor North America, where he was director and co-founder of the Hispanic Business Strategy Group.

Prior to that, Rosero was national manager of corporate communications and media relations for Toyota Motor North America, where he managed corporate communications, U.S. investor relations, philanthropic efforts and corporate reputation for the company.

With more than 20 years of government and media relations expertise, Rosero’s career spans several high-profile positions, including serving as deputy assistant secretary, public affairs for the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services; senior vice president of corporate communications, media and public affairs at Citigroup; district director for U.S. Congressman Tim Bishop; Northeast communications director of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee; and deputy press secretary of U.S. Department of Labor Secretary Alexis Herman, among others.

Rosero received his bachelor’s degree in liberal studies from State University of New York at Purchase.
