‘The Real,’ ‘Kris’ Beat Year-Ago Demo Ratings

The two syndicated shows getting tryouts on some Fox O&Os both generated women 25-54 demo increases from their lead-ins year-ago timeslot averages.

Syndicated TV’s newest daytime talk shows, Kris with Kris Jenner and The Real with five co-hosts, including Loni Love and Jeannie Mai, got off to respectable starts in the first week of their summer test runs.

Kris averaged a 0.8 rating and 5 share among women 25-54, while The Real recorded a 0.8/6 in the same demo, based on Nielsen live-plus-same-day ratings through Friday.

Both were up in the demo from their lead-ins and year-ago time slot averages.

Kris from Twentieth Television was up 14% from its lead-in and up 14% from last year. It averaged a 0.6/4 in women 18-49, up 20% from its lead-in but flat to last year.

In households, Kris had a 0.9/3, flat to its lead-in and down 18% from last year.

Kris is airing on six Fox stations in a six-week test: WNYW New York, KTTV Los Angeles, KDFW Dallas, KSAZ Phoenix, KMSP Minneapolis and WJZY Charlotte.

BRAND CONNECTIONS

On YouTube, Kris tallied 1 million views last week, according to Twentieth.

The Real, produced by Telepictures and distributed by Warner Bros., is getting a four-week test run on seven Fox TV Stations: WNYW New York, KTTV Los Angeles, WTXF Philadelphia, WTTG Washington, KRIV Houston, KSAZ Phoenix and WTVT Tampa, Fla.

It’s 0.8/6 average among women 25-54 is up 33% from its lead-in and 60% from its year-ago time slots.

It posted a 0.7/5 in women 18-49, up 75% from its lead-in and 40% from last year.

In households, The Real had a 1.0/3, up 11% from its lead-in and 25% from its year-ago time slots.

Warner Bros. said that all five episodes aren’t on YouTube yet, but the first one received more than 1.6 million views.
