TVB Fall Confab Set For Waldorf On Sept. 17

The new venue for the annual post-Labor Day Forward Conference in Manhattan will be an "upgrade" over last year's site, providing plenty of room for the expected 500, says TVB President Steve Lanzano.

TVB is moving its annual post-Labor Day Forward Conference in New York City again — this time from the Edison Ballroom in Times Square to the ballroom of the Waldorf-Astoria hotel on Park Avenue, according to President Steve Lanzano.

The conference will also be moving temporally. Because of the lateness of Labor Day (Sept. 7) and the need to work around the Jewish holidays and other industry events, the full-day conference has been slated for Thursday, Sept. 17.

“We continue to upgrade the Forward Conference,” Lanzano said.

The Waldorf ballroom should easily accommodate the 500 expected to attend, giving them ample room to move network between sessions that will address political and automotive advertising and industry issues, he said.

The conference had moved to the Edison Ballroom last years after many years at the Time-Life Building near Rockefeller Center.

Lanzano said TVB has also lined up some speakers prominent in sports and business, but was not ready to announce them.
