Two Beaumont, Texas, LPTV Stations Sold

Abraham Telecasting Co. has sold television stations KIPS-LD and KOPS-LD, both Beaumont, Texas, to Omega Media Broadcasting for $226,049.

Seller principal, Thomas Abraham, also owns LPTV stations, KVW Houston and KXCC  Corpus Christi, Texas. Abraham formerly owned KXLK Austin, Texas, which was sold in 2015.

Omega president, Daniel Melendez, has 20 years’ experience in media. Melendez’s past jobs include general manager of KLVL-AM Houston and operations manager of Celestial TV KQVT Houston.

Plans for KIPS and KOPS are to have the stations 100% local to the Beaumont market.

George W. Kimble of Kozacko Media Services brokered the sales.
