Verizon CEO Lowell McAdam said his company could launch a wireless video service by the end of the year if the government approves a proposed cable partnership, according to a report in The Wall Street Journal. The new service would allow Verizon Wireless customers who are pay TV subscribers see video content on their mobile phones, according to the report. The company is seeking FCC and DOJ approval for $3.9 billion in deals to buy spectrum licences from Comcast and Time Warner Cable. WSJ subscribers can read the full report here.
