WFXT Names Melissa Mahan Weekend Anchor

On Dec. 20, Melissa Mahan joins Fox O&O WFXT Boston (DMA 7) as anchor alongside Heather Hegedus for the Saturday and Sunday editions of Fox25 News at 6 p.m, Fox25 News at 10 p.m. and the Sunday edition of Fox25 News at 11 p.m.

Mahan will also serve as reporter for weekday evening newscasts including Fox25 News at 6, Fox25 News at 10 and Fox25 News at 11.

Most recently, Mahan was an anchor at KOAT Albuquerque, N.M. Prior to that, she was an anchor/reporter at WLNE Providence, R.I. Earlier in her career, Mahan was an anchor at various stations including KJCT Grand Junction, Colo.; KTVE Monroe, La.; and a reporter at Fox Sports Net Bay Area.

A graduate of the University of California-Santa Barbara, Mahan holds a degree in communications and a minor in sports management.
