WMLW-CA Milwaukee Going HD On Aug. 7

Weigel Broadcasting’s low-power independent WMLW Milwaukee (DMA 34) is set to begin broadcast in high definition on Tuesday, Aug. 7.

“In the past few months our engineering staff has been upgrading the antennas and transmitters on several of our signals,” said Jim Hall, GM of the Weigel Broadcasting stations in Milwaukee. “As part of WMLW’s upgrade to high definition, both WMLW and WBME (Me-TV) were required to make channel position adjustments, with WMLW and WBME switching their current over-the-air digital positions.”

WMLW will move from ch. 58.2 to 49.1 and WBME will switch from 49.1 to 58.2.

WMLW’s cable position will remain ch. 7 on both Time Warner Cable and Charter Communications. Time Warner Cable will add WMLW to its HD tier on ch. 1007. WMLW will continue to be offered in standard definition on ch. 49 on Direct TV, Dish and AT&T.
