WMOR Names Morrison National Sales Mgr.

Hearst Television’s WMOR Tampa (DMA 14) has hired Scott R. Morrison as national sales manager, replacing Roy E. Tym, who announced his retirement after 35 years in the television industry effective June 30.

Morrison comes to WMOR from Media General Communications in Tampa where he was a sales manager leading the company’s efforts in retail, food, sports and entertainment for WFLA, the Tampa Tribune, TBO.com, TBO Mobile and Yahoo! Local.

Prior to working with Media General Morrison was a senior corporate marketing manager for the NHL Tampa Bay Lightning and a former marketing executive with the National Basketball Association.

Independent WMOR also offers two multicast channels:  thisTV Tampa Bay and Hispanic-focused EstrellaTV.
