WPIX ‘Sports Desk’ Expands To 7 Nights

Tribune CW affiliate WPIX New York (DMA 1), will expand PIX11 Sports Desk to air seven nights a week from 10:45 to 11 p.m. after PIX11 News at Ten.

Beginning tonight, PIX11 Sports Desk, which currently airs Friday nights only, will expand to air nightly as a live entertainment-based show, with content geared toward sports fans and will include celebrity guests, feature stories, humorous sports related videos and viewer interaction on various social media platforms.

Premiere week guests include Dwight Gooden, Mookie Wilson, Bill Buckner John Starks and more to be announced.

Sports Anchor Scott Stanford will host the show Monday through Friday, while d weekend sports anchor Andy Adler will host the program on Saturday and Sunday. Adler will also contribute to the weekday Sports Desk.
