WPIX Ups Florence O’Brien To Local Sales Manager

Tribune Broadcasting’s CW affiliate WPIX New York (DMA 2) has named Florence O’Brien local sales manager. O’Brien’s promotion is effective immediately and she will continue to report to Adam Shapiro, general sales manager.

O’Brien moves up from account executive, a position she has held at the station since 2010. In her new role, she will be responsible for overseeing sales activity in the market and the sales performance of the local account executives.

Prior to joining WPIX, O’Brien spent more than 15 years at Cox TV Rep Firms/TeleRep, holding several positions including New York sales manager and general sales manager. she also held account executive positions at NBC and CBS spot sales throughout her career. 

O’Brien holds a Bachelor of Science degree from St. John’s University in New York.
