YES Ups Ed Delaney To Engineering SVP

Ed Delaney has been promoted to senior vice president, broadcast operations and engineering at regional sports channel YES Network. He is responsible for all aspects of technical operations.

Delaney joined YES in October 2001 as director of operations, leading the company’s technical team in the planning and executing of the network’s launch just five months later. He was promoted to vice president, operations, in 2003.

YES said Delaney was the driving force when YES launched its 24/7 standalone HD feed in 2007, and the subsequent overhaul of the network’s studio and broadcast operations all-HD almost five years ago.

Prior to joining YES, Delaney was CEO of his wholly owned company, DCC, where he packaged production of many major sports events including New York Yankees baseball, Pittsburgh Pirates baseball and professional boxing.

Earlier, Delaney was vice president of operations for The Baseball Network, a partnership between ABC Sports, NBC Sports and Major League Baseball.  Delaney came to the Baseball Network from ABC Sports where, where he worked for 10 years, most recently as senior production executive, overseeing the production management of all ABC Sports telecasts.

Delaney graduated from Millersville University (Pa.) with a B.S. in business administration.
