‘Dabl’ Diginet Clearances Top 80% Of The U.S.

CBS Television Distribution’s new advertiser-supported digital lifestyle network Dabl (dab·​ble) is now cleared in over 80% of the country for launch on Sept. 9.

In addition to the previously announced CBS Television Stations group, which will anchor the launch, Dabl will also be distributed on the digital spectrum of television stations from groups including Sinclair, Tribune, Graham, Meredith, Quincy Media, News-Press & Gazette, Capitol Broadcasting, Bahakel and Univision.

Dabl, which will showcase the libraries of lifestyle icons Martha Stewart and Emeril Lagasse, has also acquired programming to beef up its lineup from other notable names and brands.

Pets

In the pet space, Dabl will feature programming from Cesar Millan’s library. Millan is a Mexican-American dog behaviorist, who has hosted and created numerous TV shows for dog lovers, including Cesar to the Rescue and Cesar Millan’s Leader of the Pack, and is a best-selling author and sought-after public speaker.

On the home improvement front, Dabl has acquired Bob Vila’s Home Again with Bob Vila. Additionally, the network obtained the rights to numerous popular shows from A&E’s library, including multiple seasons of Find & Design, Flip This House and Sell This House.

Cooking and Baking

Dabl has also added numerous shows from the popular British chef Jamie Oliver, including Jamie’s 30 Minute Meals and Jamie’s 15 Minute Meals.

Health and Lifestyle

Dabl viewers will also get a daily dose of wellness with the acquisition of two series Doctor & The Diva and Cityline. Doctor & The Diva pairs former American Idol star Kimberley Locke with board certified ER physician Dr. Steve Salvatore to host a daytime talk show featuring celebrity interviews and topical discussion of issues, including health news, food, fashion and fitness. Cityline is a Canadian daytime talk show hosted by Tracy Moore, focusing on home décor, food, entertaining, fashion and health and beauty.
