Gabriela Martínez Joins KTAZ As Multimedia Journalist

Telemundo’s KTAZ Phoenix has hired Gabriela Martínez as a multimedia journalist for Noticiero Telemundo Arizona. The newscast airs Monday through Friday at 11 a.m., 4, 4:30, 5 and 10 p.m. Noticiero Telemundo Arizona is simulcast on co-owned KHRR Tucson. She started today.

Martínez will also be creating bilingual content for the station’s digital platforms.

Prior to joining KTAZ, Martínez did an internship as production manager with Univision KBNT-CD San Diego at the beginning of 2020. Previously,

Martínez earned a degree in Communication from California State University in Long Beach, Calif., where Martinez was a presenter for the student-produced newscasts Al Día, Titan Weekly and The Report in California in 2019.

Most recently, Martínez earned a Spanish for Hispanic Media Certificate from California State University in Fullerton, Calif. Martínez is an active member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists.
