WPVI Anchor Gray Hall To Co-Anchor Its 10 PM Newscast On WPHL

ABC-owned WPVI Philadelphia weekend morning anchor Gray Hall will be joining the anchor team for the station’s 10 p.m. weekday newscast that airs on Nexstar’s MNT affiliate WPHL, effective March 14.

He is joining Sharrie Williams, Ducis Rodgers and meteorologist Adam Joseph.

“Through our broadcast partner, PHL17, Action News at 10:00 p.m. has grown to become the most-watched news program during that time,” said WPVI GM Bernie Prazenica. “I’m so pleased that we have an anchor and journalist of Gray’s caliber to co-anchor this important newscast.”

Hall joined the 6abc Action News team in December 2015 from Richmond, Va. Off the air, he was an adjunct professor at Virginia Commonwealth University.

Prior to his time in Richmond, Hall was a reporter and fill-in anchor in Miami. He began his broadcasting career as a production assistant in Dallas and then a weekend anchor in Greenville, Miss., a few years later.

Hall earned his bachelor’s degree from Dillard University in New Orleans.
