Kirstin O’Connor Joins KXLY News Team

Morgan Murphy Media’s ABC affiliate KXLY Spokane, Wash., has added veteran anchor Kirstin O’Connor.

Beginning Aug. 22 O’Connor will anchor 4 News Now at 5, 6 and 11 p.m. with Aaron Luna and Kris Crocker. She’ll also report on issues affecting local families over the air and on KXLY’s digital platforms.

O’Connor has spent the last several years anchoring morning news at WKMG Orlando, Fla. Before that, she was an anchor and reporter in Medford, Ore.

She joins a team that most recently won the Regional Edward R. Murrow Award for Overall Excellence.

“Kirstin is not only a dynamic, experienced anchor, she’s also a warm, genuine person who will be able to easily connect and relate to the communities we serve,” said News Director Melissa Luck. “We’re thrilled to have an anchor with a strong local connection and a support system in place for her and her family.”
