The Sinclair Broadcasting-owned CBS affiliate in Grand Rapids-Kalamazoo-Battle Creek, Mich., added a half-hour to its morning news today.

WWMT Launches 4:30 A.M. Newscast
Sinclair Communications-owned CBS affiliate WWMT Grand Rapids-Kalamazoo-Battle Creek, Mich., (DMA 42), today launched a 4:30 a.m. newscast. The expanded early morning newscast will air every weekday.
The new half=hour will be staffed by Josh Roe, Marcie Kobriger and Jeff Porter.
“We are proud to be the first to offer a 4:30 a.m. local newscast to Western Michigan,” said Jim Lutton, VP-GM of WWMT. “We are dedicated to being the news leader in the market and this shows our commitment to those efforts.”
