WWL New Orleans Anchor Angela Hill Retiring

Belo-owned CBS affiliate WWL New Orleans (DMA 51) announced Wednesday that after 38 years of working for the station, Angela Hill will retire on April 4. Hill will continue to produce periodic specials and documentaries to the station.

Hill joined the Eyewitness News team as a consumer reporter in 1975, and soon after moved behind the anchor desk. During her career, she has garnered numerous local and national industry awards, including a regional Edward R. Murrow award. Hill has been inducted into the New Orleans Broadcasting Hall of Fame, and the Press Club of New Orleans has honored her with its Lifetime Achievement Award.

In addition to working as an anchor and reporter, Hill hosted the Angela talk show for seven years. The show ran weekday afternoons on WWL and highlighted local and national issues while also showcasing local and national talent in entertainment, business and academics.
