WAWS-WTEV Jacksonville Names New Anchors
Cox Media Group’s Jacksonville, Fla. (DMA 48) duopoly of WAWS (Fox)-WTEV (CBS) today named John Bachman and Tenikka Smith-Hughes its new evening anchor team.
Bachman and Smith-Hughes will co-anchor CBS47 Action News at 5, 5:30 and 6 p.m. The new team will also co-anchor Fox30 Action News at 10 and 10:30 p.m.; as well as CBS47 Action News at 11 p.m.
Bachman comes to Action News from WSB Atlanta, where he is the co-anchor of the 4 p.m. weekday newscast.
Smith-Hughes joins from WSOC Charlotte, N.C., where she is the weekday morning anchor.
The pair will be seen on Action News early this fall.
