The group owner will use Harris’ OSi’s sales, traffic and research solutions to integrate its seven network affiliates and cable news channel.
Harris Corp. has signed an agreement to provide its OSi broadcast sales, traffic and research solutions suite to Allbritton Communications.
Under the agreement, Harris will provide Allbritton with a comprehensive traffic-sales solution for its entire broadcast and cable television operation. The traffic-sales solution includes both OSi-Traffic and OSi-AdConnections to integrate Allbritton’s seven network-affiliated stations and cable news channel located in Washington; Harrisburg, Pa.; Birmingham, Ala.; Little Rock, Ark.; Tulsa, Okla.; Roanoke-Lynchburg Va.; and Charleston, S.C.
With the Harris solution, Allbritton now has an overall view of its day-to-day operations across the entire station group. The OSi-Traffic and OSi-AdConnections single database model and centralization features provide Allbritton consolidated control over sales operations and inventory utilization.
This capability, along with seamless traffic-sales integration, was the main reason Allbritton selected OSi, according to Steve Gibson, Allbritton’s chief financial officer. “Efficiently controlling workflow for our stations from a single solution distinguished OSi,” he said.
The end-to-end OSi solution provides Allbritton with traffic capabilities such as centralized reporting and streamlined information gathering processes at both station and corporate levels. Corporate management can now view consistent information across all broadcast properties with a single consolidated report. The OSi-Traffic single database model allows sharing of key information across multiple business units and departments.
