Telemundo today announced the premiere of its new national weekend newscast, Noticiero Telemundo Fin de Semana, will take place on Saturday, Oct. 4 at 5 p.m. ET. Previously, del Villar served as news anchor for Telemundo’s morning show Un Nuevo Día, and as correspondent for Noticiero Telemundo and Al Rojo Vivo. In Mexico, Del Villar anchored Las Noticias, Televisa’s primetime newscast in Monterrey.
In addition to his work on television, he spent more than a decade as news director and anchor for various radio networks, including MVS, Radio Fórmula and Núcleo Radio Monterrey, and adviser to the editorial board of Grupo Reforma, Mexico’s largest media group.
