Joseph Dorrego, 21st Century Fox’s VP of investor relations, will be Fox Television Stations’ new SVP/CFO.
CEO Jack Abernethy’s announcement Wednesday afternoon comes two days after Betsy Swanson, the current CFO, announced that she would be retiring after 30 years with the company.
Dorrego will oversee all financial functions for the station group, reporting directly to Abernethy.
“Joe is a well rounded financial executive and a proven leader. We look forward to him joining our team,” Abernethy said in a statement.
Before his current job with 21st Century Fox, Dorrego served as the company’s VP of finance, overseeing its financial planning and analysis functions. He began his tenure at 21st Century FOX (then News Corporation) in 2004 as the director of SEC reporting and accounting policy.
