The former Gray TV executive will oversee the growing TV station group, reporting to President/CEO Eric D. Van den Branden.
Hoak Media Corp., a Dallas-based consolidator of small-market TV and radio stations, has tapped Rich Adams to run the growing TV station group as executive vice president and COO, it was announced this morning. He will report to President/CEO Eric D. Van den Branden.
Adams joins Hoak from Gray Television, where he was a senior vice president, overseeing all of Gray’s TV stations in Texas and Colorado. He was also general manager of KWTX, the CBS affiliate in Waco, Texas. Prior to KWTX, he was general manager of KXII Sherman, Texas, for more than 20 years.
Adams is a former president of the Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters and director of the Texas Association of Broadcasters. He is currently serving on the CBS affiliate board.
Including pending acquisitions, Hoak owns or manages 19 TV stations in seven markets in Texas, Colorado, Nebraska, South Dakota and North Dakota. The group includes affiliates of ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, CW and MNT.
