The sale of two stations and related licenses in Minnesota and New York by United Communications to Gray Television tops the latest list of TV station transactions submitted to the FCC for its approval, according to BIA Advisory Services.
The $45 million acquisition comprises CBS affil WWNY and WNYF-CD (Fox) Watertown, N.Y., and CBS-Fox affiliate KEYC Mankato, Minn.
The former Gray Television executive succeeds Marvin Rhodes as head of United Communications Corp.’s CBS-Fox affiliate in Mankato, Minn.
CBS affiliate KEYC Mankato, Minn., and its Fox subchannel were dropped this week from Dish Network. Because of a contract dispute that KEYC General Manager Marvin Rhodes deems irreparable for the time being, about 3,400 Dish customers in the Mankato area will be without the channels.
The TV veteran will lead United Communications’ CBS-Fox affiliate in Mankato, Minn.
