Gray Television’s KMOV is set to depart downtown St. Louis in 2023 for a new broadcast facility in Maryland Heights, Mo. KMOV has broadcast from Gateway Tower at One Memorial Drive for more than 50 years. In Maryland Heights, KMOV will turn a three-story office building known as 77 Progress Parkway into its new facility with 45,000 square feet available for studios, newsroom and production support spaces.

With the inclusion of Meredith’s KPHO and KTVK in Phoenix and KMOV in St. Louis, the national service providing local news via app has grown to 141 stations in 99 markets covering 48 of the top 50 markets and 80% of the U.S. population. Meredith says more of its stations could come on board in the coming months.
Meredith-owned CBS affiliate KMOV St. Louis parted ways with its news director, Brian Thouvenot, today. GM Mike Murphy said he could not comment on personnel matters, then added that the station would “aggressively pursue the hiring of a replacement.”
