NAB Exec Ann Marie Cumming Leaving

The association’s SVP of communications is exiting on Feb. 21 after more than 20 years. She’s becoming the executive director of the Congressional Club Museum and Foundation in Washington.

Ann Marie Cumming, the NAB’s senior vice president of communications, is leaving the trade association after more than 20 years.

As senior vice president of communications, Cumming supports the department’s outreach and public policy advocacy to the national news media and trade press. She also manages media-related activities and services for NAB’s conventions and events. In addition, she oversees the NAB Research department and NAB Public Service, a division that promotes the public service commitment of broadcasters to key stakeholders.

She is moving across town to be executive director of the Congressional Club Museum and Foundation.

Cumming joined the NAB government relations staff in 1994 following a stint on Capitol Hill with Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.). She later moved to the communications department where she worked for five years and was promoted to director, media relations.

In 2011, she became vice president of communications, and was promoted to her current position in 2013.

Cumming has a B.A. degree in public relations from Simmons College.
