“Diginets’ younger skewing audience” Uh, no. 25-54 isn’t that much younger, and since the Tegna guy has more or less confirmed that they’ve decided not to go that much younger, citing the old “they’re watching on their phones and stuff” comment, that basically tells me that the people who run these diginets, be they Tegna, Scripps, or even Nexstar, don’t actually care about using the diginet format to its fullest potential. To them, quick, short-term profit is better than actually putting in the effort to grow the industry, like they’re actually TRYING to let the internet and OTT services win.
