Grecia Carrillo Named KVEA Morning News Co-Anchor

Telemundo 52, KVEA Los Angeles, has added Grecia Carrillo as the co-anchor of its weekday morning newscast Noticiero Telemundo 52 a las 5 a.m. y 6 a.m. She will join news anchor Sandra O’Neill, weather anchor Marcos Mora to deliver the latest in local breaking news and information for Spanish-speaking audiences in Southern California. Carrillo will make her on-air debut in late August.

Carrillo, a four-time local Emmy winner, joins from sister Telemundo California stations KCSO-LD Sacramento and KNSO Fresno where she was an anchor and multimedia journalist for Noticiero Telemundo California since 2020.

Prior to joining Telemundo, she was the news and reporter for KUVS Sacramento since 2016.  Before this, she was the morning news anchor for Milenio TV in Guanajuato, Mexico, and radio host for XHLG-FM León Guanajuato, Mexico.

Originally from León Guanajuato, she earned a bachelor’s degree in communication sciences from Universidad del Valle de Atemajac in Mexico.
