Jordan Evans Named KXXV Weekday Morning Meteorologist

Scripps Media’s ABC affiliate KXXV Waco, Texas (DMA 82), is adding meteorologist Jordan Evans to its Good Morning Texas with Lindsay Liepman and Joe Gumm beginning May 13.

Evans graduated this month from Arizona State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in meteorology/climatology from the School of Geographical Sciences and Urban Planning and a Bachelor of Arts in journalism & mass communication from the Walter Cronkite School.

While attending college, Evans was a weather anchor and reporter for Cronkite News on Arizona PBS. He interned at KMBC Kansas City, Mo.; KNXV Phoenix; and CNN Weather in Atlanta. He also served on the Board of Broadcast Meteorology in the American Meteorology Society as a student member.

In addition to being a meteorologist, Evans is also a journalist and reported on climate and sustainability issues while reporting for Cronkite News.

Evans is also a certified drone pilot under the FAA’s Part 107.
