KAPP-KVEW Yakima Adds New Anchor-MMJ Amanda Mason

Amanda Mason has joined the Morgan Murphy Media Yakima, Wash., ABC affiliates KAPP-KVEW as an anchor, producer and reporter-MMJ. She joins from KMID-KPEJ in Midland-Odessa, Texas, where she was a morning anchor, producer and MMJ.

Prior to moving to Texas, Mason worked at KERO Bakersfield, Calif., as an MMJ and weekend weather anchor.

She graduated magna cum laude from Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication with a master’s degree focused on broadcast journalism. She also holds a master’s degree in music from the Manhattan School of Music, where she studied opera as a soprano.
