KIII Names Wes Wilson News Director

Tegna-owned ABC affiliate KIII Corpus Christi, Texas, has selected Wes Wilson to lead its 3NEWS team as news director. His first day with KIII will be June 21, 2021.

Wilson joins from KXAN Austin, Texas, where he was executive producer. He has 16 years of broadcast and digital experience. Most recently, Wilson and his KXAN team received a national Edward R. Murrow award for digital content.

Wilson has a B. A. in journalism and mass communication from the University of North Carolina.
