KCPQ Seattle Rebrands Morning Newscast As ‘Good Day Seattle’

Fox O&O KCPQ (Fox 13) Seattle has rebranded its morning show as Good Day Seattle.

In making the announcement, VP-News Director Jake Wiederrich said: “The Good Day brand is among the most recognizable local news franchises in America. This is an exciting new chapter for our dynamic morning newscast, and I look forward to seeing our team take Good Day Seattle to the next level.”

Good Day Seattle is anchored by Bill Wixey and Liz Dueweke, with weather reports from meteorologists Brian MacMillan and Abby Acone, and traffic reporting from Adam Gehrke. The weekend morning news program on co-owned KZJO (MNT ) is anchored by Brian Flores and Chynna Greene.

According to the station, “Good Day Seattle continues to showcase breaking news, traffic alerts, weather and newsmaker interviews, featuring the biggest team of morning field crews in the Seattle market. Fox 13 has had the No. 1 program in the local morning news time period for 11 straight months and has been No. 1 at 9 a.m. exclusively for 20 months” among adults 25-54.
