Meteorologist Karina Segovia Joins Telemundo’s KTLM

Telemundo-owned KTLM Harlingen, Texas, today hired Karina Segovia as meteorologist for Noticias Telemundo 40. She will join news anchor Denisse Salinas Monday through Friday at 11 a.m. starting Sept. 6.

“Segovia is a very well-known on-air personality in the Rio Grande Valley. Her detailed forecasts will greatly benefit our viewers,” said Iris Rodriguez, KTLM news director. “With Karina, our ability to deliver important meteorological information gets stronger, and so does our weather authority team, which is committed to informing our viewers about severe weather changes.”

Segovia joins KTLM after working Telemundo’s KTMD Houston. Previously, she was a weather anchor for two years at KNVO McAllen, Texas.

Segovia earned her meteorology degree from Mississippi State University and also attended the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, where she earned a journalism degree.
