Mike Mibach Promoted To KTVU’s Evening Anchor

Fox-owned KTVU San Francisco has named Mike Mibach evening anchor.

Effective May 2, he will serve as the station’s weeknight 5, 6, 10 and 11 p.m. anchor, alongside Julie Haener.
Amber Eikel, KTVU vice president and news director, said: “Mike is a dedicated storyteller who cares deeply about the community and our role as journalists in the Bay Area. I’m proud to have him on our team and look forward to him representing our work and values on The 10 O’clock News.”

Mibach has been with KTVU since 2005. Throughout his tenure, he has anchored the weekday and weekend morning shows, KTVU Fox 2 News at Noon and KTVU News at 4 p.m., as well as reported for various other newscasts.

Prior to joining the station, Mibach was a reporter and weekend evening anchor at KVOA Tucson, Ariz. He began his career at WIBW Topeka, Kan.

A graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder, Mibach holds a Bachelor of Science degree in broadcast news.
