Nathalie Pozo Joins WCVB As Weekend Evening Anchor-Reporter

Boston journalist Nathalie Pozo will join Hearst Television’s ABC affiliate WCVB Boston (DMA 10) as weekend evening anchor and general assignment reporter beginning Monday, Oct. 5.

Pozo will co-anchor weekend editions of NewsCenter 5 with Shaun Chaiyabhat. This move marks her homecoming to Hearst Television, having anchored and reported earlier in her career at Hearst-owned WPBF in West Palm Beach, Fla.  Most recently, Pozo worked at WHDH Boston.

Pozo came to Boston in 2017 and has reported on major news events like the shooting of Red Sox legend David Ortiz. Pozo translated the unfolding information from Spanish to English during her live exclusive reports from the Dominican Republic. She received an Emmy award and multiple nominations for her coverage.

Before WHDH, Nathalie worked at WAGA Atlanta, where she covered multiple high-profile events including a massive manhunt for escaped inmates, the Pulse Nightclub shooting in Orlando, and extreme weather from hurricanes to snowstorms throughout the Southeast.

Pozo began her career as a reporter in Gainesville, Fla., before joining Hearst-owned WPBF, followed by WTVJ in Miami.

Pozo was raised in Miami and earned her degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Miami.
