Reporter Daniel Benitez Joins WLTV Miami

Univision’s WLTV Miami has hired Daniel Benitez as a reporter for its Noticias 23 news team.

The station described him as a seasoned reporter with vast knowledge of the South Florida community and its diverse population.

“We are thrilled to welcome Daniel to our team, his experience and commitment to delivering top notch coverage is a testament to the news we strive to offer our community each day,” said Samuel Belilty, Univision Miami vice president of news.

Benitez graduated with a degree in journalism from the University of Santiago in Cuba and worked as a communicator in Holguín and Havana before arriving in Miami in 2012. A year later he began working at América TV, where he was able to cultivate an important segment of the local audience eager for relevant information from the island. Daniel later worked at Univision as a producer of the program Crónicas.

Benitez is best known for his extensive coverage of issues relating to Cuba and overall topics concerning immigrants.
